Invitation to join the 2010-11 Competition

The Essex League is now recruiting new teams for it’s 2010-2011 competition.  Any new clubs interested in competing in the next season’s galas are requested to indicate their interest and submit any questions via the following link.

2010-11 Season

New Divisions and Fixture dates for the 2010-11 season have been added to the site.  The league would like to extend a warm welcome to swimmers from Edmonton Phoenix who will be joining us for the forthcoming season!

Final Results!

We are delighted to be able to publish the final results of the 2009-10 Essex League Season.  The school holiday weekend and possibly a touch of ‘ash’ affected teams made for some interesting final round galas but finally it’s all over and our congratulations go to Romford, Phoenix, Canvey Island and Killerwhales who each won their respective divisions.  See Results page for final round results and overall positions.

AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the Essex League is scheduled to be held on 16th May 2010 at 10:00am in the The Sub-Aqua Diving Club, Central Park (next to the Swimming Pool), Gooshays Drive, Harold Hill, Romford.  AGM invite.  All current and prospective clubs should plan to attend.

Decision on Cancelled Galas

Following consultation with the affected clubs it has been decided that the two galas cancelled due to weather conditions on 9th Jan will NOT be rescheduled.  Divisions Two and Four will therefore be decided on the results of three rounds for the 2009/10 season.

Alternative Dates

Clubs involved in the two cancelled galas from 9th Jan are asked to respond to the note requesting their input on potentially running these galas on a date in May or June (1st May, 8th May, 6th June, 26th June). Please provide your input by 7th March.

Galas on 9th Jan are Cancelled

Due to the weather conditions it has been decided to cancel the two galas at Fulwell Cross and Colchester on Sat 9th Jan.  The league will investigate the possibility of rescheduling these rounds to another date.
